Through internal crowdsourcing with employees at all of the company's sites, the idea for a new service was born: machine learning (ML) certification to ensure the safety, reliability, and trustworthiness of AI applications.
The implementation to the innovation was carried out in cooperation with the Johannes Kepler University Linz and the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH).
The jury evaluations mentioned positive aspects such as the successful integration of crowdsourcing, the economic and social impact, and the relevance of the topic, but concerns were also raised about crowd involvement, transparency, and environmental sustainability.
It was also noted that further results and transparency are needed to better assess the full potential of the projects.
The crowd powered innovation award is an initiative of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) Crowd in Motion and the Fraunhofer-Zentrum für Internationales Management und Wissensökonomie (IMW) in Leipzig, Germany.
