Reinhard Willfort began his career as an apprentice at Siemens. As an IT developer, he studied telematics and economics while working. In 2000, he received his doctorate in innovation and knowledge management with distinction from the Graz University of Technology.
He is a textbook author and author of more than 60 publications and coordinates the master's course in innovation management at Donau-Universität Krems. He teaches in the subjects of innovation and knowledge management at Donau-Universität Krems, FH Eisenstadt, FH Joanneum, FH St. Pölten, FH Wiener Neustadt, New Design University and the University of Salzburg Business School.
As a consultant, trainer and university lecturer, he deals with crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, open innovation, idea management and the promotion of creativity in the knowledge workplace of the future.
In 2001, based on the results of his dissertation, he took the lead in founding the innovation incubator ISN - Innovation Service Network, which he still heads today. Willfort founded 5 other companies and supports many top companies in innovation and knowledge management.
In 2007, he founded Neurovation GmbH with the goal of establishing crowdsourcing tools for idea initiatives in Austria. Neurovation.net is now Austria's largest ideas platform with more than 10,000 creative users.
In 2012 he initiated with 1000×1000.at the first Austrian crowdinvesting platform. He is a founding member and Executive Board Member of the European Crowdfunding Network based in Brussels.
Since 2013, he has also offered his expertise as a lecturer and faculty member of the international Speakers Academy®.
Since 2016, Reinhard Willfort has been a keynote speaker at the European Speakers Agency for the topics Innovation & Future: Speakers-Excelence Profile
